Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrists (BAP) is a non-profiting, non-political, professional forum of persons related to psychiatry and related subjects. This was established in 1975 with the aim to promote mental health and to advance the subject of Psychiatry across the country. Maintaining spirit of unity, co-operation, solidarity and fellow feeling among psychiatrists of Bangladesh are also key intents on which it is based on. BAP celebrates World Mental Health Day every year and organizes International Conference two yearly. At present this organization is representing around 250 psychiatrists and persons devoted to mental health activities. Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrists (BAP) is a voice for dignity and human rights of patients and upholding the rights of psychiatrists.
